Bondi Wash Laundry Wash, imported from Australia, is available at the Mutenkaya (meaning Additive-Free Shop) website. Per the Bondi Wash website they do not use animal-derived ingredients nor test on animals (with the exception of their dog range, which was tested on dogs with sensive skin).

Ecover is available at Natural Lawson stores and some Aeon-affiliated grocery stores. Their products do not contain animal byproducts and they do not perform animal testing per the FAQ section of their English-language website.
Ethique has a Flash! Laundry Bar & Stain Stick, available online from Ethicame (Japanese). Per the English-language product page on the Ethique website, this product is suitable for washing clothing by hand, but is not suitable for washing machines. Can also be used on dishes or hands. Natural Boho is a small online business located in Myoko Kogen in the Japanese Alps. They have vegan laundry detergent powder and soap options. Inquire with the owner for their vegan product list. Check their Instagram here (English).
Shabondama Sekken, meaning “soap bubble soap,” is a Japanese soap company whose website states that they do not animal test and they do not ask other organizations to do animal testing for them, because they are using ingredients that are proven to be safe on humans.
Some of their products are made by combining animal fats with vegetable fats and oils, and some with are made with vegetable fats and oils but no animal fats. The full list of products they make without animal fats, including bar soap, facial soap, laundry detergent, and toothpaste can be found here (Japanese). However it isn’t clearly stated that all of the products are vegan, as some may have other ingredients added in. A few products from the list are shown below.
• Shabondama Soap’s Pure Vegetable ‘Sunol’/シャボン玉 純植物性スノール is made from vegetable fats, not animal fats. The sole ingredient is listed as “pure soap.” It contains palm oil. Synthetic surfactants, fluorescent whitening agents, fragrance, and coloring agents are not used. Per their website, they don’t test on animals. Some of their other items do contain animal fats. Fabric softener is unnecessary when using this product. Website states it can be used for “babies and seniors.” Good for fully automatic washing machines and drum type washing machines.
